Old Mud Meeting House, 730 Dry Branch Road Harrodsburg, will have an open house for the public on Sunday, October 11, 2:00-4:00. It is the oldest standing house of worship in Mercer County and the first Dutch Reform Church West of the Allegheny Mountains. Old Mud was built in 1800 by of colony of Dutch settlers whose ancestors first colonized New Amsterdam (New York) in the early 17th Century. This is a house of worship built with Old World construction. The public is invited to view its preservation.
